UGCY Uplifts London #22SEP12

On Saturday 22nd September UGCY took over the second and third floors of Westfield, Stratford City with a rousing performance of Sister Act 2 inspired “Oh Happy Day”. Led by the sensational Rachel Kerr and directed by the fantastic Mark De-Lisser, hundreds of singers came together to produce a spectacular sound that had shoppers and Westfield staff alike mesmerised!

Unfortunately, we did not break the world record but the feedback we have received from those who witnessed and took part has been overwhelming. We truly uplifted London and left people buzzing and inspired. We would like to thank everyone who took part and lended their voices to our cause and all those who made the performance possible. A special thanks goes to Dr Idowu and the YACnCAY (Youth Against Crime not Crime Against Youth) team, the London Week of Peace and of course, our hosts and partners, Westfield Stratford.
